Well, now that it is May here in Colorado, we are getting a nice spring snow storm. Lets see, Sunday it was 77, Monday it was 77, yesterday it was 67 and today --
Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 32. Breezy, with a north northeast wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
I had the snow bike all put away and was ready for some nice spring riding. Instead, riding in the snow again. Hey, at least it's better than a cold rainy day. I really don't like those.
Just another bright, sunny day. After a lazy morning in Highlands, I road back home via Cherry Creek Bike Path. Once agian, it was packed with people getting out and enjoying the weather.
Should be nice here for a couple days, then ... snow? Crazy spring weather here in Denver.
What a gorgeous day here in Denver. Spring has finally say goodbye to the snow and we have 60's & 70's for the foreseeable future. Took Cherry Creek downtown this afternoon and everyone and his brother was out and about. The bike path was packed. Looking forward to grub in Old Highlands, a good nights rest and a nice long ride tomorrow.
Well, here in Denver, this spring has brought more snow that all this past winter did -- or so it seems to me. I have shovelled more in the month of April that I did the previous 4 months. Crazy.
Rockies played today and it was 23 F. This is a record for the coldest first pitch in MLB history.
Man, what a beautiful day here in Denver, Sunny and 68.
Took a ride down Cherry Creek to Wash Park and back after work. Great day to ride, and the riders where out today. Body was hurting a bit, but it felt good to go out spinning for 90 minutes.
And I have to say, the scenery was awesome!
( hee, hee, hee)
Wow, has the weather here in Denver been nice the past week This past Saturday there was a 72° difference between the the low the previous Saturday and that Saturday. -12° vs 60°. (For reference, that Saturday was this day.)
So, I finally fixed up the single speed, a broken spoke, and have been out riding every day. It has been sweet.
And tomorrow, it's suppose to be close to 70°! Epic!
~ Update: 23 January ~
So it's Wednesday and it ain't even close to 70°.
WTF weathermen of the world?
Missed that forecast didn't ya?

There Is No Such Thing as Cold -- Action Learning Club
More snow. More icy cold. But here’s an encouraging scientific thought. Scientifically speaking, there is no such thing as cold. “Cold” doesn’t exist. It is simply the relative absence of thermal energy, just as “darkness” is the relative absence of light.

I mean really, the only deciding factor for whether he predicts and early spring or not, is the sun shining in Punxsutawney?
It might still be cold today, it's around 5 F right now, but there is no wind and the sun is shining bright. In fact it's so nice I'm sitting on the patio having a Fat Tire and catching some rays.
Reminds me of the old days, back when I was living up in Snowmass.Village. We would ski into the early afternoon and then hang out on the 'Beach' or on a deck and soak up the good vibes.
Fond memories. ![]()
